Covering the Bases

6 p.m., 4000 S. Main Street, Acworth. Event raises awareness and money for Horizon Field, a synthetic-surface field that allows children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities to play organized sports.
A partnership of community residents and the Acworth Police Department. The department has raised more than $300,000, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the field. The event offers family activities that include an outdoor movie, bounce houses, dunk tank, a midnight kickball tournament and more. Concludes with the kickball tournament.
