Covering the Bases

6 p.m.-1 a.m. An award-winning program that raises awareness and money to support Horizon Field. The field is a synthetic surface that allows children with physical and cognitive disabilities to play organized sports. Covering the Bases is based on a partnership between community residents and the police department. The police department has raised more than $150,000 for the field.
